(Archived) Hobart Food Outreach: Who we are and what we do!

Hobart Food Outreach is a grassroots initiative built out of the ongoing work of Food Not Bombs Hobart. What began with Glen’s generous food supply for FNB quickly grew into something larger — a continuation of opportunities, a response to growing need, and a natural step toward organising, adapting, and reaching people where they are.

Alongside Glen’s support, we also meet Lisa Rime at the doors of Foodbank to collect additional supplies. With this combined generosity, we’ve been able to create a flexible outreach model: loading up the car, delivering directly to families, and supporting communities who often miss out. Our work takes us to a night shelter, a housing block, and individual homes where a simple drop-off can make a real difference.

As we grow this blog will document that journey — the network behind it, the people we meet, and the evolving shape of a project that keeps growing because the need keeps growing.
