A Partnership Born from Compassion

I relatively recently teamed up with a generous podiatrist from Foot and Ankle Rehabilitation Centre (FARC), who donated several boxes of quality secondhand sneakers for the homeless. This partnership was a perfect example of how businesses and individuals can come together to make a real difference in the community.
Stepping Up for the Homeless

The donated sneakers were distributed at various sites, including my own project Food Not Bombs, which provides food and essentials to those in need. I also handed them out through my office at a crisis centre to clients in crisis. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they received a pair of comfortable shoes was truly heartwarming.
Distribution with a Purpose

This initiative not only provided physical comfort but also dignity and hope to those struggling. It reminded me that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact. I’m grateful for the podiatrist’s generosity and look forward to continuing our partnership to make a difference in the lives of others.

Help Us Step Back into Action!

Our ‘Sole Mates’ initiative, which brought comfort and dignity to the homeless through donated shoes, is currently on hold. But with your support, we can get it moving again!
For a nominal donation, we’ll work tirelessly to:
- Source another box of quality secondhand sneakers
- Recruit volunteers to help with distribution
- Identify those in need and get the shoes to them
Every contribution counts, and with your help, we can restore this vital service to the community. Donate now and let’s take the first step towards bringing comfort and hope back to those who need it most!
