There’s something special about holding a piece of wood that’s been shaped by hand. You feel the grain, the warmth, the quiet story inside it. That’s what Woodcraft Adventures is all about — slowing down, choosing beautiful Tasmanian timber, and carving meaningful pieces that connect people to nature, creativity, and each other.
The Heart Behind Woodcraft Adventures
Woodcraft Adventures began as a shared journey — working side by side, shaping wood, and discovering that every piece has its own personality. Some timber is calm and smooth. Some is wild and unpredictable. We don’t fight that — we follow it.
Each carving is made slowly, intentionally, and by hand. No two pieces are the same, and that’s exactly the point.
This isn’t mass-produced décor.
It’s handcrafted story.
Our Signature Tasmanian Timbers
We work with a rotating selection of stunning Tasmanian woods, including:
- Huon Pine — warm, golden, and beautifully aromatic
- King Billy Pine — soft and pale with gentle grain
- Spalted Sassafras — dramatic, wild patterning
- Tasmanian Oak — clean and timeless
- Celery Top Pine — light with subtle character
- Myrtle — rich reddish tones
- Blackwood — deep, elegant, and striking
Every timber influences the final piece — the shape, the feel, even the mood.
A Guided Custom Journey
One of the unique things about Woodcraft Adventures is that customers help shape the final piece. You can customise:
Wood Type – Choose your favourite Tasmanian timber
Size – Small to Mammoth
Chunkiness – Regular or Chunky
Quality – Standard or Premium
Engraving – Optional personal message
This means your piece isn’t just handmade — it’s made for you.
Our Animal Collection
Our growing collection features hand-carved animals inspired by Tasmania and the Australian bush:
- The Woodland Wombat
- The Lost Tiger
- Riverstone Platypus
- Curious Echidna
- Wild Heart Devil
Each one is carved to feel solid, tactile, and full of character — designed to be held, gifted, and kept.
Why People Love Woodcraft Adventures
People often tell us:
- “It feels alive in my hand.”
- “The wood chose me.”
- “It’s the perfect meaningful gift.”
- “I love that no one else has the same one.”
That’s the magic of handmade timber — it carries personality.
Made Slowly. Made with Love.
We don’t rush pieces. Some take hours. Some take longer. We stop, turn them, look again, and let the wood guide the final shape.
It’s not just about carving animals.
It’s about creating something warm, grounding, and real in a fast world.
Follow the Adventure
Woodcraft Adventures isn’t just products — it’s the journey:
- Carving by the ocean
- Discovering new timber
- Experimenting with shapes
- Sharing behind-the-scenes moments
- Meeting people who connect with the work
You’re invited to follow along.
Because every piece begins as a block of wood…
and ends as part of someone’s story.

I didn’t begin with business. I didn’t begin with vision. I began with survival.
